Saputo Dairy UK’s cheese brand Cathedral City has expanded its ‘Our Plant Based’ range with the release of a new flavoured soft cheese alternative.

The Spring Onion and Cracked Black Pepper spreadable cheese alternative launched in Tesco from 29 May and will be available in up to 332 stores across the country for an RRP of £2.50 for a 170g tub.

Cathedral City’s Our Plant Based range launched last year and already includes grated, sliced and block cheese formats, the latter having won FoodBev Media’s Plant Based Taste Award for best plant-based cheese in 2022.

Head of marketing for Cathedral City Neil Stewart commented: “At Saputo Dairy UK, we think all cheese and cheese-flavoured products should taste great. Our cheese experts have created a new format and flavour profile which is enjoyable for those with dairy allergies or who want to reduce their dairy consumption.”
