Bute Island Foods-owned Sheese has expanded its range of plant-based cheeses with the launch of Mighty Melter slices and The Italiano mix.
The melting slices are a red-Leicester-style cheese perfect on top of a veggie burger. The Italiano is a mixed bag of grated plant-based cheese in mozzarella and cheddar style.
The brand has expanded into 24 markets since its 1988 creation on the Scottish Isle of Bute and now exports to South Africa, North America and the Middle East.
Nigel White of Bute Island Foods, said: “With nearly 40 different varieties, we offer consumers a vast amount of choice when it comes to vegan cheese. “Sheese’s growth continues to gather momentum and we put this sustained growth down to the heritage of the brand, its reputation, quality and our dedication to developing new products for both vegans and non-vegans, as they seek non-dairy alternatives for their plates.”
The new products will be available nationwide in UK supermarkets from 21 November, the Mighty Melter slices are priced at £2.25 per 180g and The Italiano at £2.50 per 200g.
