Finnish food-tech company Happy Plant Protein is debuting a new faba-based textured vegetable protein ingredient at the Food Ingredients Europe trade show in Paris, France.

Beyond Meat has launched its new Beyond Steak Filet, made from mycelium, faba protein and avocado oil, through a number of foodservice partnerships in the US.

Beneo has opened its first pulse-processing plant in Obrigheim, Germany, following an investment of around €50 million by its parent company, the Südzucker Group.
