India-based vegan food brand Plantaway has launched what it claims is the country’s first plant-based chicken fillet, made from pea protein.

The ‘Chick’n Fillet’ is designed to provide a nutritious plant-based alternative to traditional chicken, offering 19g of plant protein per serving.

It is designed to mimic the taste and texture of real chicken while using no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, responding to consumer demand for meat alternatives that do not compromise on flavour.

Plantaway’s Chick’n Fillet can seamlessly replace chicken in a variety of dishes, from burgers and sandwiches to salads and stir fries. It joins the brand’s existing portfolio of meat alternative products, which includes burger patties, nuggets, kebabs and keema samosas.
