Allplants launches new ready meals with chef Rachel Ama

Plant-based frozen ready meal company Allplants has announced a new limited-edition collection of ready meals in collaboration with chef Rachel Ama.

Vegan chef Ama partnered with Allplants as its ‘Chef-in-Residence’ for the collaboration, which resulted in the development of four new dishes as part of the product range.

Double Green Orecchiette features orecchiette pasta tossed in a sauce made from cashews, spinach, fresh basil, lemon and parsley, topped with hazelnuts. The dish was designed to be completely zero-waste.

The West African Peanut Stew, inspired by Ama’s mother’s Sierra Leone roots, includes scotch bonnet peppers for a hit of heat, while the Chimichurri Portobello Mushroom Bowl is inspired by South American cuisine featuring portobello and button mushrooms coated in chimichurri sauce and paired with cayenne and paprika, accompanied by coriander rice.

Smoked Aubergine and Walnut Ragu featured roasted aubergine with walnuts, tossed over gemelli pasta and finished with parsley oil.

The range launched yesterday (20 September), available online at £7.50 for a single serve and £10.95 for a double serve. The company’s ready meals are available for one-time purchase as well as on a subscription basis.
